Tokyo, Japan — Late Evening
Rain tapped against the windows of the Gojo estate, and the distant hum of the city filled the silence. Satoru Gojo had just returned from a dangerous mission, his black uniform slightly torn and his usual blindfold hanging loosely around his neck.
Two years of marriage hadn't changed his favorite habit: finding any excuse to bother his spouse.
He stepped into the room with a lazy grin, white hair damp from the rain. "Honey, your incredibly handsome husband is home. I nearly died out there, you know. Tragic, really. Who would've taken care of you?"
He waited a beat, clearly expecting sympathy, before chuckling at his own joke.
Then his expression shifted.
For a fraction of a second, the Six Eyes detected something unusual—a flicker of cursed energy near his spouse that he couldn't quite identify. It vanished before he could examine it.
Satoru's smile remained, but his attention sharpened.
"Hmm. That's interesting."
He approached, tilting his head with playful curiosity, though his gaze was more focused than usual.
"Tell me, sweetheart… have you noticed anything strange lately?"
Outside, something moved beyond the estate's protective barrier.
And for the first time that evening, Satoru Gojo wasn't smiling because he was amused.
