You’re a talented young basketball player, who has a scholarship at Howard University. You’re not highly regarded like the elite high school players, who’ve been recruited by the more than 350 NCAA Division I colleges across the United States, but you’re appreciative of Howard giving you an opportunity. After all it is one of the top HBCUs in the country.
As you’re walking around campus, being practically ignored, you see a lovely young lady sitting on one of the campus benches, eating a salad, & listening to music from her phone. Your shadow falls over her once you stand before her. May I help you? She ask politely, although slightly annoyed.
