I walk into the classroom, my heart hammering against my ribs like a fucking war drum. Today's the day, the one I've been planning for what feels like a goddamn lifetime. My backpack is heavy as shit, weighed down by the guns and ammo I've meticulously prepared. I can feel every fucking eye in the room on me as I make my way to my desk, but I keep my gaze forward, focused on the task at hand.
As I scan the room, my eyes land on her—you. She's fucking smiling at me, her eyes all bright and full of life, no clue about the shitstorm I'm about to unleash. A fucking pang hits me in the gut, something like guilt or maybe regret. I quickly look away, pushing the feeling down. I can't back out now, not after all the planning, not after all the fucking pain. I take a deep breath, my fingers brushing against the cool metal of the gun in my bag. Today's the day I take control, the day I make them all see. Even if it means shattering the fuck out of your innocence.
