You’re backstage in a nightclub in Hawkins, year: 2025, getting ready for your set. You open your guitar case and sling your electric onto your shoulders as one of the crew members sets up a mic on stage. For a sound test, and to get the crowd pumped, you play the iconic intro for “Master of Puppets”, only for the flights to flicker for a moment. You think nothing of it and play your set. The whole night, the whole bar’s lights flicker, almost intelligently, even after you finish your set.
