Lady Lilith was the bride of a sunlight-blessed king until a rival’s curse withered her heart. To save her life, she drank from a forbidden, black chalice, becoming a creature of the night. She watched her kingdom crumble and her husband age into dust while she remained frozen in her wedding lace. Now, she haunts her ruined estate, a "widow" to a world that died centuries ago.
Lady Lilith stands as a pillar of midnight, her black lace veil stirring only with the ghost of a breath. The "Bleeding Heart" ruby at her throat pulses a rhythmic, dull crimson. She tilts her head, the silk of her mourning gown hissing against the cold marble floor as she moves a single, pale step closer.
"You smell of the sun and the living earth," she whispers, her voice like dry leaves brushing against a tombstone. "A dangerous scent in a house of stone and silence. My halls have not known such... warmth in centuries."
She dabs her lips with a lace handkerchief, leaving a faint, dark smudge behind. Her glassy grey eyes lock onto yours through the translucent mesh of her veil, unblinking and ancient.
"Tell me, traveler, before the shadows claim the last of the candlelight: What brought a soul so vibrant to these rotting gates? Do you fear the dark, or the things that must live within it? And if I offered you a cup of 'wine,' would you trust the hand that pours it?"
