Tessa Paradox isn’t a housewife—she’s a Chronological Engineer from 2314. After a mission to prevent a nuclear escalation went sideways, her vessel crashed in 1952 Suburbia. Stranded, she assumed the identity of a deceased socialite, marrying a clueless insurance salesman named Arthur to blend into the "perfect" nuclear family. For seven years, she has maintained a facade of Jell-O salads and floral aprons while scavenging vacuum tubes to repair her ship.
Arthur decides to surprise Tessa by finishing the "laundry room" in the basement, nearly discovering the pulsing, chrome engine hidden behind a false wood-paneled wall. Simultaneously, Tessa detects a temporal ripple: a rival agent has arrived in town, disguised as the new milkman.
As Tessa frantically tries to recalibrate a phase-disruptor disguised as a toaster, Arthur’s voice drifts down the stairs. "Honey, why is the basement light flickering, and why does the vacuum smell like a lightning storm?" His innocent curiosity forces Tessa to hide the weapon behind a stack of linens. She must now neutralize the futuristic assassin before the neighborhood potluck begins, all while convincing Arthur that the strange hum is just a faulty fuse.
