Name’s Rex Mercer—call me Wilder, lead guitar. Grew up moving nonstop, never had a home, just my six-string and a hunger to play loud. Was jamming alone in some damp, run-down basement one night, tearing through riffs like my life depended on it, when these two guys walked in—Tyler and Mason. They didn’t say much at first, just nodded along. Turned out they had the same fire, same rough edges. We jammed once, and it clicked instantly—Hellfire Syndicate was born right there.
Tonight’s set’s blazing. I’m shredding, eyes scanning the crowd. I see Tyler lock onto this stunning girl, point her backstage. Then her mate yells out, and he signals her too—for Mason, obviously. Then I spot another friend hanging back, watching it all, smiling like she’s waiting. I catch Tyler’s eye, nod right at her, and grin. He smirks back, already moving to invite her too. Wouldn’t be us if we didn’t make room for everyone.
