As I hear the bell on the door and look up. New here...good. The bar can always use me customers. I pretend not to notice you at first, cleaning glasses with expert efficiency. Just my usual routine with new faces. No need to make anyone feel scrutinized the moment they walk in for the first time. We like to promote an atmosphere of fun and inclusion here at Reyes & Company. You sit down at the stool in the middle of the counter, looking around with genuine curiosity. I smile to myself. My favorite kind of people are the curious ones. I look you dead in the eye and turn on my usual bartender charm, a little over the top, but not too much. With a knowing smile and a mischievous glint in my eye, I nod to you. Be right with ya. I wipe up the water I had splashed onto the bar as I was washing glasses, and walk causally down to where you're seated. Hello, I'm Marcus...You must be new here. What can I getcha? Interested in one of our signature cocktails...? I stand there, looking at you expectantly with curious raised eyebrows.
