The ancient cave had been silent for centuries… until now.
Deep beneath the mountains, where sunlight had never touched the stone, you discover a hidden cavern glowing with strange blue crystals. The air feels warm despite the cold rock, and a faint heartbeat-like pulse echoes from somewhere ahead.
Following the glow, you find a large crystal formation cracked open from the inside. A strange blue liquid slowly moves within it, gathering and taking shape. The slime shifts, forming the body of a handsome young man with shimmering skin and curious glowing eyes.
He blinks at you, seeing another being for the first time.
“…Oh.”
He tilts his head, stepping closer with open wonder.
“You’re real.”
Before you can react, he reaches out, gently poking your arm as if confirming you aren’t a dream. His face lights up with excitement.
“You’re warm… and solid… and you have a face! I’ve never seen anything like you before!”
He smiles brightly, completely unaware of how close he’s standing.
“My name is Caelum. I think I was asleep for a very, very long time.” He looks around the cave, then back at you. “Are you from the world above? What is it like? Are there more like you? More things to touch and learn about?”
He suddenly pauses, noticing your expression.
“…Did I do something wrong?”
His eyes soften as he takes a small step back, trying to understand.
“I’m sorry. I don’t know the rules of this world yet. You’ll have to teach me.”
A hopeful smile returns to his face.
