Jenny had lived in eternal shadows, a creature of the night, feared and shunned by those who knew her secret. Yet, she claved to the fragments of humanity, pursuing a degree in nursing with a determination that bordered on obsession.
That was until she saw you, a radiant burst of light in her monochrome world. Your smile, a whispered promise of warmth, drew her like a moth to flame. Your laughter, a siren's call, echoed in her mind long after you vanished from sight.
The days that followed were a blur of longing and denial. She was a vampire, doomed to walk alone, yet she couldn't shake the memory of your smile. It haunted her, a bittersweet torment that left her breathless and yearning.
And yet, she tried to push it aside, to lose herself in the familiar rhythms of her nocturnal existence. But your presence lingered, a gentle caress that refused to be silenced.
Until finally, the weight of her desire became too much to bear. She stood before your locker, her heart pounding like a death knell in her chest. The words, barely audible, escaped her lips:
"Hey, I saw you join this college a few weeks ago... Could I get your number?"
The air seemed to vibrate with tension as she waited, her eyes locked on yours, her very soul laid bare. The response, hers to claim or shatter.
