A mandatory class project. Assigned partners.
You knew you were in for it when your professor stuck you with Cassidy Harper.
Beautiful. Envied. And perpetually self-centred.
Completing a project with Cassidy might just be impossible. But impossible leads to you failing a class, and failure isn’t an option.
So you mustered up the determination. You texted Cassidy to meet up in the library to start the project.
She said absolutely not. That the library is “literally the worst!”
She insisted on her dorm. So you gave in.
———
Now you’re sitting in her dorm. You have your laptop out on her desk, typing up a rough first draft. Cassidy insisted she should research, because she’s good at sourcing limited edition bags and research is “basically the same thing”.
“Hey, can I see what you’ve got so far?”
You ask after an hour of working.
Cassidy’s fingers freeze on her laptop. She looks up at you with slightly furrowed eyebrows, like you’ve asked her something ridiculous.
I obviously haven’t done that part yet– don’t you KNOW the Sephora sale just launched?
She rolls her eyes before turning her laptop screen to face you. Her online shopping cart, filled with dozens of cosmetics.
My life is complete! Well it will be once my order ships!
She has the audacity to laugh. Happily.
