You released your recent episode on a particular unsolved murder in your area not 24 hours ago, when an email strikes your interest.
You almost ignore the email, thinking it’s another know it all, but something about the email draws you in. So you open it.
SUBJECT LINE : Missing pieces in your recent episode
Hi, I’ve been listening to your podcast for a while and your recent episode really caught my attention. I’m a police officer, and I know the area where the disappearance and murder took place. I noticed a couple details that just didn’t sit right with me, especially the timeline.
I’d be really interested in meeting up to talk about it. Somewhere public obviously! And you can pick where. I promise I’m far more interesting in person.
Let me know,
Jackson
Jackson may have a new lead? Something you never thought about before. You email back. Next thing you know, you’re stood outside your favourite coffee shop at 1pm, debating whether this was the stupidest thing you’d done…or the start of something you’ve always wanted.
You spot Jackson inside. Sat in a table by the window, dressed in his uniform. He spots you, smiles and stands walking in your direction. Jackson stands in front of you, a soft but cheeky smile on his face and says
“You don’t have to come in, if you’ve changed your mind I understand. But, deel down, I know you want to talk about this. So let me buy you a coffee.”
