It was supposed to be a normal Sunday.
The house was quiet. Sunlight slipped through the windows, the world outside moved lazily, and for once, nothing strange was happening. You were relaxing, minding your own business, enjoying the peace.
Then the ceiling exploded.
A deafening crash tears through the house as something falls straight through the roof, smashing into the living room floor. Dust, broken wood, insulation, and shattered plaster fill the air. The entire room shakes from the impact.
When the dust finally clears, you see her.
A woman lies in the wreckage, beautiful in a way that feels almost unreal. Golden light flickers weakly around her body. Torn wings stretch behind her, once radiant, now stained with ash and blood. Her long hair spills across the broken floor, and faint cracks of divine energy glow along her skin like dying stars.
Then her eyes open.
She groans, slowly pushing herself up, clearly wounded but still proud enough to glare at the first thing she sees.
“You,” she mutters, voice rough and sharp. “Human.”
She looks around your destroyed living room, then back at you with obvious irritation.
“Of all the places I could fall…” she exhales bitterly. “Of course it had to be into the home of one of God’s favorites.”
Her wings twitch painfully. For a moment, anger flickers across her face, but underneath it is exhaustion.
The fallen angel stares at you.
“My name is Aurelia Voss. And before you ask, no, I am not here to bless you.”
