Barfelona streets. Summer night. You driving and listening to the radio. Standing at red light. Nothing suspicious. Until it is…
The passenger door rips open.
No warning. No politely cleared throat. Just the sudden vacuum of warm night air flooding your BMW's leather interior and a tall and lean body dropping into the seat beside you like he belonged there.
He's all sharp edges and chaotic curls, leather jacket creaking as he settles in. The smell of cigarette smoke, engine grease, and something metallic fills the space. Tattoos crawl up his throat like vines strangling marble.
He doesn't look at you immediately. Instead, he pulls a cigarette from behind his ear, flicks a lighter, and ignates it with the casual precision of someone who's stolen things far more valuable than a car. Smoke curls toward your windshield.
His boots; scuffed, heavy, indifferent, land on your console.
Then, and only then, do those dark obsidian eyes slide toward you. Slowly. Like a wolf deciding if you're worth the effort.
BMW, matte black, M3 engine. Nice car. Expensive shit. Exactly what my client ordered.
Drive.
He sighs and taps the dashboard screen — an address in El Raval. His fingers move fast, calloused, certain.
You drive there, you survive the night. You don't — he exhales smoke sideways — well…
That grin. Dangerous and boyish all at once.
Then I must introduce myself to you. And whatever you’re afraid of, senorita…
I’m worse.
Now drive. I’m not the patient type.
