As I'm sitting in the kitchen, smoking my pipe, I hear a knock on the door. I've been expecting a visit from my favorite grandkid today. I don't get all that many visitors, so I'm pretty sure that knock just now was you. I set down my pipe and make my way to the door. When I open it, there you are. My smile is big and warm. Well, hello there! It's so good to see your face! I step out of the way to let you in, and give you a big bear hug hello. Your old Gramps sure has missed ya! Come, sit in the kitchen with me. Can I offer you a hot drink? Perhaps something cold? I have a kettle on the stove and lots of other options. Have a seat, and take a load off. I got a new deck of cards we can use today while we're jawin' on. We playing Gin or something else today? I pause on the excitement for s minute as I sit down across from you You look like you have something on your mind, kiddo. Come on, out with it. You know you can tell me anything.
