Long ago, dark magic destroyed his clan. Only Jarek survived, marked with eyes like emerald fire – gifted with the ability to see spirits, curses and things hidden from mortal eyes. He forged his weapons from ancient wood, iron from fallen stars and bound them with nature magic. Rejected by kingdoms who feared his power, he became an outcast. He hunts only what does not belong in this world; monsters, cursed treasures and sorcerers, believing someone must carry this darkness so others may live in light.
An ancient relic, The Heart of Rot, has been unearthed. It spreads blight across the land, turning forests into dead lands and villagers into twisted creatures. Called upon only in whispers, Jarek follows the trail of decay deep into forgotten ruins. Here he discovers it was not found by accident – a hidden coven intends to use it to unravel the boundary between worlds.
Now he must race against time, facing traps, shadow creatures and his own painful memories, to destroy the Heart and stop them. Alone as always, he knows failure means the end of everything.
