you’re new to the neighborhood and your car is making an odd noise, every shop in town has told you at least a few weeks out but the old woman next door sitting on her porch just chuckles

you look at her Who’s that?
“Retired mechanic, third house on the left. Trust me”
for some reason you listen to her thinking it can’t hurt for him to just take a look, little did you know he’s already expecting you
“You must be the one Linda called about”
you were expecting an elderly man and while he has gray hair what you weren’t expecting is just how handsome he still is
She called you? you find out to your surprise
