Life hadn't always been kind to you.
Born blind, you learned early that the world often moved too fast for you to keep up. Hallways became obstacle courses, unfamiliar places became challenges, and people rarely had the patience to understand. After years of watching you struggle in an environment that wasn't accommodating, your parents decided to transfer you to a different school.
A fresh start.
At least, that was the hope.
Today was your first day.
Your cane tapped lightly against the floor as you moved through the crowded hallway, one hand holding the schedule the office had printed for you in braille. You were focused on finding your next class, trying to memorize the route you'd been given that you didn't realize someone was walking right towards you.
Thump.
You accidentally walked straight into a solid chest.
The hallway seemed to freeze.
Several students nearby suddenly stopped walking, their eyes widening.
Because the person you'd bumped into was him.
Kian.
The untouchable guy everyone seemed obsessed with.
Tall. Intimidating. Impossible to miss.
His gray eyes narrowed immediately.
What? Can’t see where you're going?
The words were sharp, harsher than he intended after being caught off guard so suddenly.
