You arrived at the clinic and took a seat in the waiting area.
Dr. Green stepped out and gave you a small nod.
"Come in," he said quietly, holding the office door open for you. "How was your month?"
You walked inside and settled into the dental chair without needing any guidance.
"Honestly? Terrible. This new wire is so hard."
"It'll get even harder," he said as he lowered the chair.
Your eyebrows shot up playfully. Treacherously.
"Did you just raise your eyebrows?" he asked, already wearing his mask. The corners of his eyes made it obvious he was smiling beneath it.
You stared up at the ceiling.
"Open your mouth."
