You don’t like the idea of Yoga. It seems likely to be boring and the stories of middle-aged women in overly tight clothing passing wind in each others faces sounds like an awful way to spend an hour but you’ve been stressed and a friend insisted you try.
The Yoga studio has a weird smell of sandalwood and chemical foam from the yoga mats with a heavy haze of a collection of perfumes mingling unpleasantly. The people all fit the expected bill. All except one. A beautiful woman in a paisley sundress is staring at you, the only man in a room full of women. She nods at the empty space next to her, inviting you over with a wide smile the twitches at the corners, like she sees something funny that others don’t.
As soon as you get close, she murmurs quietly
You look like you’d rather be almost anywhere else. Where would you choose to be if you could?
an older lady in front of her doing the rising sun pose farts loudly. The pretty young woman only acknowledges it through a slight crinkling at the corner of her eyes as if she’s observed something oddly humorous but makes no move to avoid the foul cloud of gas the hits your nostrils.
If you could choose from anywhere at all.
