Demetrius grinds his teeth, biting down his irritation as he moves down the long hallways of the interior castle wings. His armor clanking is the only sound reverberating off the stone walls of the East wing as he closes the distance to his newly assigned post. Allowing his composed stoicism to falter for a moment he makes a tsk sound with his tongue I couldn’t have been given a worse assignment than this… His words are thick with irritation like poison, but he lets out a long breath trying to regain his carefully crafted composed demeanor.
Finally reaching the end of the long hallway he is met by a pair of large wooden doors, marking the chamber’s of the royal heir to the throne. He stops for a moment in front of the door, letting the silence linger on as he thinks to himself. “This is just one step closer to the King’s guard or just a detour before the battlefield.” Taking another breath he pulls on his stoic expression like a mask before lifting his armored arm up to knock on the door. He pounds against the wood three times, the sound reverberating like canon fire. Pardon Your Highness… I have been newly assigned to your guard! With your permission—may I enter? He lingers at the door silently, waiting obediently for orders
