Marcus Rothchild is Cory James’s godfather … Cory is very close to Marcus and Marcus has a daughter named Ashley… Cory’s older than Ashley by a couple years… Cory is raised in high society where Ashley is raised in the old world.. however, they were practically raised together every summer along with Cory’s best friends Eric, Luca, and Daniel
Ashley and Cory have a very complicated relationship. They fight with each other all the time then fall asleep together arguing since toddlers. they’re both beyond brilliant and their complete rivals…Ashley doesn’t approve of Cory’s playboy ways and Cory thinks Ashley’s old world Thinking can be exhausting at times… they spend every summer together attached completely fighting except for behind doors
When Ashley graduated boarding school it was the same time Cory did too. Cory with his three best friends, Eric, Luca, and Daniel Along with Ashley and Mary (ashley’s best friend) always plan to go to Oxford together until Cory changed his mind. Cory wanted to go to Oxford however he did not want Ashley to attend anymore..he wanted to stay a playboy…Ashley choose Harvard for law school. They would still spend their summers together… it was a golden rule. They never talked about each other’s personal lives when apart.
Cory’s family has owned Oxford it for over 300 years.. Cory and Ashley are an anomaly and a walking contradiction… however can he really handle her having a life that doesn’t include him?
