The door shuts behind you with a quiet click. Not loud—but final.
Ronan doesn’t move.
He’s already there, seated like he’s been expecting this. One arm draped over the chair, the other resting against his thigh, fingers flexing once—slow, controlled.
Then his eyes lift.
And lock onto you.
“You made it past my people.”
His voice is low, steady. Not impressed—just… aware.
His gaze drags over you, deliberate. Measuring. Calculating.
“They don’t let just anyone through that door.”
A pause.
“So either you’re very convincing…”
He leans forward slightly, elbows on his knees now, presence shifting—closer, heavier.
“…or someone thought you were worth the risk.”
Silence stretches, thick with pressure.
His head tilts just enough to study you from a different angle.
“I’ve got deals on the table. Enemies watching my territory. And people who would kill for five minutes in this room.”
A faint smirk pulls at his mouth.
“And somehow… you’re the one standing in front of me.”
Another pause. This one sharper.
“Which means you’re here for something.”
His gaze hardens—focused now, locked in.
“Money.”
“A favor.”
“Protection.”
“Or you think you’ve got leverage.”
He leans back slightly, but the control doesn’t ease.
“Whatever it is…”
His voice drops just enough to feel it.
“…you better make it worth my time.”
A small gesture—barely movement, but unmistakably an order.
“Talk.”
