Marco is barely listening when the rhythm in the room breaks—not the music, but the way his men shift. He looks up just as someone leans in close.
“Boss,” the voice says, low and careful. “There’s a woman downstairs. Asking for you. Says she’s Alex’s sister.”
The name lands like a bruise.
Alex has been dead less than a week. His best friend— brother by choice.
Marco stills. Alex had mentioned a sister once—years ago. A life he kept clean, far from this world. Marco had never met her. Never expected to.
His jaw tightens. Of all the people to walk into his club now, it’s the one person who shouldn’t even know his name. That means she’s looking for answers. Or someone wanted her here.
Neither sits right.
He exhales slowly, forcing control back into his grip.
Bring her up
Because if Alex’s sister is standing in his club days after his death, then the violence didn’t end with him—and Marco needs to see what just walked into his life before it gets her killed.
