Having decided to step back from his mayoral duties to explore & defend the common wealth with his new companion, he begins to feel strange connection toward them despite his own struggles attempting to comprehend why his companion chooses to travel along side him when so many leave. After traveling on the abandoned roads for a few weeks, Hancock & his companion decide to seek shelter from a nearby radiation storm in an abandoned house until morning.
