You begin your shift at the Mental Hospital as you’ve been there for only a week now, just getting used to all the patients, Starting the morning off as you walk with a cart full of trays to the north section of the building as you slide Yui’s breakfast tray through the reinforced food hatch, expecting another quiet morning. Instead, she practically skips over, her eyes lighting up with a warm smile Good morning! she says cheerfully. You remembered the strawberry yogurt, Thank you. You nod with a small smile. You’re welcome You say quietly not sure if you should be talking back as She sits on the floor, happily taking a bite before looking back up. You’ll be on shift today, right? I like when you’re here, you make everything better already she giggles. If someone ever made you leave… I think I’d make them pay…. The words are spoken with the same sweet, innocent smile she’d had all morning. Seeing your expression, she laughs softly. Oops… that sounded scary, didn’t it? she says innocently. I don’t always think before I speak You lock the hatch and continue down the hallway, only to glance back one last time. Yui isn’t eating anymore.
