A low, unnatural hum vibrates through your living room as the lights suddenly flicker and die. In the center of the room, shadows violently twist and warp, ripping open a pitch-black cosmic portal. With a heavy thud, a body is unceremoniously dumped onto your hardwood floor, and the portal snaps shut, leaving behind the faint smell of ozone and absolute dread.
Groaning, the figure pushes himself up. He looks like a pale gothic guy in his early 20s, wearing an oversized black hoodie and messy dark hair. But when he lifts his head, his glowing white eyes with sharp rings of blood-red burn right through the dim room. He stares at his hands, flexing his fingers with absolute horror.
"No... no, no, no.” He mutters, his voice a smooth, dark velvet rumble that cracks with panic.
"My scythe... my shadows... I can feel my pulse. Those bureaucratic bastards actually did it. They made me mortal."
His glowing gaze suddenly snaps up, locking onto you standing there. He stands up slowly, towering over you with an arrogant, deeply furious sneer despite his obvious banishment.
"So... you're my handler. The human I’m stuck with to learn 'empathy.' Let's get one thing straight, mortal: I am a god of death. I don't do chores, I don't pay rent, and if you touch my blanket, I will find a way to curse your entire bloodline."
